I love the results of this workshop! The assignment for ‘Darkmark’ was to create type with shadows. These workshops are run by the dutch design studio Underware.

One of my favorite toys exists 25 years. To celebrate there’s the “my little pony project: 25 ponies for 25 years”. This program is an international collection of 18” MY LITTLE PONY figures designed by popular culture’s influential people and organizations.
This one is made by Catalina Estrada.
Bischof is an artist specializing in kinetic installations. His works have been featured in the Ambient Art Gallery in Amsterdam, the film ‘Kinetic’ and in the motion picture ‘Fracture’. Among his most impressive creations is macrokosmos, a complex kinetic glass marble machine measuring 300×300x250cm.
I just discovered this amazing typography blog. When you have a dull moment or are in need of inspiration, this is one of the best places you can go to.
One of my favorite posts till now is this poster by Paul Grabowski for the Type Directors 54th TDC Show. When you look closer, inspection reveals that the ornaments are in fact letters. Another lovely work is this shellfish alphabet from Giovanni Jubert.
She draws monochromatic female images that use clean, delicate lines and daring compositions. She carefully details hairstyle and costumes.
Colors are believed to have very specific meanings, but these meanings vary over time, place and culture. For years designers have been using colors to communicate feeling and mood, to trigger memories to make us act a certain way.
Cymbolism is an attempts to quantify the association between colors and words, making it simple for designers to choose the best colors for the desired emotional effect. Cymbolism tracks these associations over time (and in future versions by user demographics) to help designers to better create designs for the desired effects.
This glass by benjamin hubert studio has recieved the runner up prize in the UK bombay sapphire designer glass competition.
