Justin Goodyre’s work is a prototype responsive screen proposed as a speculative stage set. Blooming mechanical flowers are used as pixels in a grid formation responding to movement. It draws on the balletic tradition of a choreographic poem combining narrative, choreography and score.

Musicians are always saying that their compositions ‘come from the heart’, but in the case of the Heart Chamber Orchestra (HCO), this is literally true. The orchestra starts out with no musical score. The musicians wear ECG sensors and a computer monitors the state of the 12 hearts in real time. Software analyses the data and generates (in real time) a musical score which changes depending on their heart rates. This musical score is displayed on a screen in front of each of the musicians for them to play. While the musicians are playing, their heartbeats influence and change the composition and vice versa, creating a virtuous circle. Via

CTS} creative thriftshop in conjunction with Dam, Stuhltrager Gallery is pleased to announce SNIFF, a group show featuring a collaborative project by Brooklyn-based new media artists Karolina Sobecka and James George. Karolina and James artistically teamed up to create their “virtual” dog SNIFF. SNIFF is a holographic, interactive, fully functional virtual pet whose image will be beamed from the gallery’s front windows.
